Francotyp-Postalia Austria Awarded Major Contract for Innovative Franking Machine

Vienna, 19.8.2008

With its first delivery of a centormail to the German Chambers of Commerce in Vienna, Austria, Francotyp-Postalia GmbH has once again proved its leading position on the Austrian market. Based in Vienna, FP Austria is a subsidiary of the FP Group. The Group provides services to the outgoing mail market around the world and has holds 48 percent of the Austrian market, making it the clear leader there. Among FP Austria's clients are Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Bausparkasse d. Ö. Sparkassen AG and the Vienna-based Städtische Allg. Versicherungs AG.

Supplied in Austria for the first time, the centormail has a capacity of up to 150 letters per minute - that includes weighing, franking and the optional stamping of mail with text and advertising logos. General Manager of FP Austria, Anton Kosar, commented the successful start to marketing this high-end product as follows: "The trust placed in us by the Chambers of Commerce honours us. We took on stiff competition to win this contract and see it as an endorsement of the high performance of our products. We intend to build on that trust in the months to come!"

The centormail's high level of technical innovation convinced the Chambers of Commerce in favour of FP Austria. Deputy Head of the German Chambers of Commercia in Austria, Florian Höland, explained their decision:  "Now we have considerably more options open to us when processing our high volume of mail. That means more individuality and greater efficiently. This variability, and the product's excellent price to performance ratio, were the deciding factors in favour of FP Austria."
