Francotyp-Postalia Supervisory Board Extends Management Contract with Andreas Drechsler
The Supervisory Board of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, a service provider active worldwide in the outbound mail market, has extended the Management contract with Andreas Drechsler early. His contract, due to expire in February 2010, now runs for a further two years. Drechsler has been a member of the Management Board from February this year, with particular responsibility for sales and distribution, marketing and investor relations. “This decision underlines our recognition and appreciation of Andreas’ performance over the last few months,” commented Prof. Dr. Michael Hoffmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the FP Group.
A business studies graduate (Dipl.-Kfm.), Drechsler has already achieved a major success, when, together with his colleague Hans Szymanski, he negotiated the site continuation package in August with the employee representatives and IG Metall. The Supervisory Board has now approved the deal, which comprises a reduction in pay by employees and short-time working. In return, the Company is guaranteeing employees’ jobs for the next 24 months. The FP Group expects cost savings of up to 9 million euros over the coming two years as a result.
