Minister Junghanns visits FP Group at CeBIT

Yesterday, the Economics Minister of the State of Brandenburg, Ulrich Junghanns, visited Francotyp-Postalia's exhibition stand at CeBIT in Hanover. Minister Junghanns was gathering information about the Company, which can look back on a long tradition. The FP Group, a worldwide service provider for the outgoing mail market, employs a round 1,100 people, 700 of whom are based in Germany, where the Company has manufacturing since 1923. In the State of Brandenburg, Francotyp-Postalia is one of the 100 biggest employers.
Junghanns used his visit for talks with FP's CEO Hans Szymanski. "We are very pleased about the level of interest shown by Minister Junghanns during his visit to our stand. We had an in-depth exchange about the mail services market and the liberalisation of postal services in general," reported Szymanski. Minister Junghanns is also Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Federal Network Agency for Power, Gas, Telecommunications, Postal and Rail Services
Following liberalization of the mail markets, the FP Group has developed from a pure manufacturer to a provider of mail management services for outbound mail. However, the Company's core business remains the manufacture of franking and inserting machines. With its new services, such as consolidation of outbound mail, as well as its digital solutions, the Company now covers the whole value added chain in the outbound mail market.
During CeBIT, at its trade fair stand the FP Group is processing all outbound mail from the Fair's organizers. This meant that Junghanns was able to get a first-hand view of the various solutions for outbound mail in actual operation.
