After-Sales (recurring revenues)

Accounting for over 60 percent of revenue, after-sales business is an important and stable income base for Francotyp-Postalia. This revenue is founded on the demand for consumables and services generated by franking machines installed at customer sites worldwide. The main sources of this recurring income are:
  • Rental fees for machines (required by postal organisations in some countries)
  • Postage by phone business (electronic loading of franking machines with mail postage)
  • Sales of consumables (colour tapes or ink cartridges for on-site franking systems)
  • Advertising business (printing of individual logos or messages next to the franking)
  • Servicing and spare parts business
  • Software solutions for cost account management
