Strongly Growing Segment

The increasing liberalization of mail markets offers our Mailstream segment considerable growth opportunities. Initially, FP wants to concentrate on its domestic market, which has been completely liberalized since the beginning of 2008. The German market is a segment where we are profiting from early expansion of our competence in mail management. Following the IPO, the Company acquired freesort GmbH at the end of 2006, as well as a majority holding in iab – internet access GmbH.

Currently, freesort has nine branches in Germany and is regarded as a leading consolidator of outbound mail in this market. Customers include such names as the German Pensions Insurance Fund and the Federal Gazette. The consolidation service offered by freesort includes direct letter collection from on site, pre-sorting by postcode, followed by transfer to either a Deutsche Post mail center or alternative delivery service. freesort’s services enable customers to greatly improve the efficiency of their outbound mail process, at the same time saving on postage charges. This applies because Deutsche Post is obliged to grant a rebate of up to 26% on pre-sorted franked mail. Part of this rebate is passed on to the customer by freesort, creating a win-win situation.

iab is the FP Group’s solutions provider for full outsourcing of the outbound mail process by Internet. With its new products webmail, businessmail, systemmail or inboundmail, iab covers the needs of small businesses through to major commercial enterprises. Every letter can be sent off at just a click, while iab guarantees its customers the highest security standards. Once iab has received the mail by via Internet, it prints out the letter, inserts, franks and delivers it. This is a considerable saving in cost and time, both for commercial and private customers. As letters are dispatched directly from the workplace, all ancillary costs such as paper, envelopes and printing, not to mention labour and travel to the post office or post box, are a thing of the past.
