Organisation

Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG is the parent company of the FP Group and sees itself as primarily having a holding function. The Company holds 100% of the shares in Francotyp-Postalia GmbH. This latter entity and its subsidiaries are the operative arm of the FP Group where the Mailroom segment is bundled. Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG also holds 100% of the shares in freesort GmbH and 51% of the shares in iab – internet access GmbH – these two companies combining the Mailstream business of the Group.

The Company has its headquarters in Birkenwerder near Berlin, which is also the site of the FP Group’s biggest production facilities. Here we develop and manufacture our franking machines. Also located at Birkenwerder are the Group’s central administrative functions, such as finance and accounts, procurement and corporate control. Nine subsidiary companies in the major international markets, together with a tight network of dealerships, are responsible for worldwide distribution of our franking and inserting machines (Mailroom business). Two subsidiaries, iab - internet-access GmbH and freesort GmbH, develop and distribute our mail-related software solutions and service products (Mailstream business).
